Schools of the Sacred Heart : Boarding School : ASH Boarding Residential Life
ASH Boarding Residential Life

The community life in the boarding school provides the students many opportunities for fun-filled times with one another.  These include:

Meals - All meals are provided for boarding students.  The dining hall serves an open style breakfast five days a week with a continental breakfast on the weekends.  Lunch is prepared daily for both the day and boarding students.  Each evening, the boarders enjoy dinner together.

Study - Students in grades seven and eight study for two hours each evening, Sunday through Thursday.  Students in grades nine through twelve attend two and one half hours of study each evening, Sunday through Thursday.  Study is supervised by members of the Boarding School staff.  Boarders have access to computers for research purposes at this time.  Students in grades nine through twelve participate in our one-to-one laptop program which provides each student her own laptop.  High school students who have achieved all A's and B's on their report card the previous quarter of the present school year have the privledge of Honor Study in their individual rooms.

Weekend Activities - On the weekends, students may go home or remain on campus for planned activities.  The Head of the Boarding School and the Boarding School staff take great care in organizing entertainment and cultural and recreational events for the resident community.  Activities include: sight-seeing, movies, theatre performances, museums, symphony productions, dances, hiking, camping, high school, college and professional athletic events, ice skating, bowling, go-carts, festivals, concerts, canoeing, and shopping.  Each weekend, students attend Liturgy together.
